The Project:

What is Moodz?

Moodz is a video menu platform dedicated to creating a visual experience rather than a simple line of text. Moodz plans to make a difference in each restaurant through increased revenue, better table-turnover rates during peak hours, and customer loyalty.

My Role

As Co/Founder and Lead Product Designer my roles included the following:

- Strategic design and functionality of the products for multiple devices and interfaces. Which included: user-facing app, user website and business CRM.

- Conducted user research and testing to validate design decisions before creating the mobile platform.

- Developed the user personas and customers journeys to identify an opportunity for a solution from the customer pain points.

-  Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes

- Delivery of all flows, content, and user stories to engineering teams.

- Used Rapidly testing to iterate functions and feature problems which help solidify solutions.

The Problem:

Customers are unable to create a personalized dining experience based on their mood, budget, diet, and location in a single application.

  • The Restauranteur problem

Table turn-over during peak business hours which results into decreased profit margins. Consumers have a tough time finding a restaurant and making a conscious decision of what to eat.

Context:

About:

Moodz is part of a new age media platform. An platform where ideas and creative content is created with the purpose of capturing users attention. By using Moodz, restaurants will be able to maximize food exposure, offer customer convenience and save transactional time.

What was done:

My team and I were able to create a modern, and customizable app that will help improve user experiences for customers and restaurants.

Why we created Moodz:

Small restaurants lack the resources and capital to create high quality visuals and marketing to drive new customers through their front door consistently. Moodz creates a level playing field, which brings back the true meaning behind a dining experience

Features:

  • Using AI technology, the Mood feature creates recommendations based on the user preferences in food.
  • With Moodz advertising. Restaurants will have the ability to to run ads on all of our platforms. Mobile app, website, and social media.
  • With Moodz back office, restaurant owners will have the ability to view analytical data (menu views, clicks, visits, orders, bookings, revenue, ROI, etc..)
  • Branded content will include licensed cooking shows, bts of restaurants, and our in house Moodz show (content will be accessible through the app, website and social media platforms)

The Process:

User Research:

My team and I conducted user research and testing to validate our design decisions before creating the mobile platform. We conducted different interviews from customers to identify pain points, opportunity and insights. We also talked to over 500 restauranteurs to discover what would provide the biggest relief for their business. We were able to discover similarities with users perceptions of restaurants and what variables could make daily food consumption decisions easier.
